There is nothing experimental about this product but collaring this animal should be considered experimental unless you have done it before. We need to work closely together to make exactly the right collar for this animal.

GPS for Cyclura Iguana-How it works

After you receive your collars you first create a custom GPS schedule for the collar to follow. As you use the software to create this schedule the GPS battery life is estimated based upon the battery in the collar and the schedule that you create. If you want to change the schedule, just go ahead and the battery life estimate will be recalculated. When you have your final schedule you will upload it to the GPS collar.

Data are collected by using a base station in the field. Either you find the animal wearing the collar by tracking the radio beacon in the collar and then get within range for the data transfer to occur or you just deploy the base station in a place where you know that the animal will be and data are automatically collected for you by that base station. You then transfer that data from the base station to your computer by USB cable.
